Forest Rope Park of Kahlenberg

Welcome to the Kahlenberg forest rope park!

On Vienna's Kahlenberg, just before the Klosterneuburg town sign, you will find the largest adventure forest rope park in eastern Austria in the middle of the Vienna Woods Biosphere Reserve.

You can train your dexterity and balance on 15 courses in 3 different difficulty levels. As a reward, there are lots of flying foxes that you can use to swing from tree to tree and enjoy the fantastic view of the treetops and down to the city.

So let's go to the Kahlenberg - you can reach us by car, bus, bike or even on foot!

What we offer you

150 exercises and obstacles from rope bridges to wobbly nets and flying foxes, some of them at a height of 20 meters, are waiting to be mastered by you.

Put your climbing skills to the test, overcome your physical limits and experience the forest from a new perspective. There is something for all ages and sizes at the Kahlenberg Forest Rope Park:

Wichtelparcours: at a height of 35cm, free to use for all ages
5 easy (blue) courses: up to 7 meters high, from a height of 110cm
6 medium (red) courses: up to 10 meters high, from a height of 130cm
4 difficult (black) courses: up to 20 meters high, from a height of 150cm

So you are optimally equipped!

You should note or bring the following:

Sturdy, closed shoes (ballerinas, crocs, flip-flops etc. are not allowed!)
Comfortable clothing (no skirts)
Please tie up long hair.
All equipment (helmets and harnesses) will be provided on site.
Equipment you bring with you may not be used.
There are no checkrooms.
A limited number of lockers are available.
Valuables are best stored in a fanny pack or similar.

At the start, you will receive your equipment (helmets and harnesses) from us and an introduction to the park's own safety technology [Opens internal link in current window] Smart Belay, which prevents unintentional unhooking.
You will then be well equipped to run through the forest rope park independently and at your own pace!

Children may only climb with us if accompanied by an adult, the supervision key can be found in the [Opens internal link in current window] prices. Children who climb with adults who are not their parents/guardians require a [Initiates file download] declaration of consent from their parents.

Sustainability has also been taken into account: all stations have been attached to existing trees using a special technique - the trees are not damaged in the process. So nothing stands in the way of an excursion into the beautiful Vienna Woods in harmony with nature!
