Gugging club

The association Freunde des Hauses der Künstler in Gugging (Friends of the Gugging House of Artists) was founded in 1990. The activity of this association is not profit-oriented. The most important aims of the Freunde des Hauses der Künstler in Gugging are to support and promote the work of artists whose works are classified as Art Brut. In addition, the association seeks to strengthen the position of Art Brut artists in the general art scene and aims at a comprehensive recognition of their achievements. Through the general recognition of Art Brut in contemporary society, the quality of life of the artists should also be noticeably improved. 

 
These goals are to be achieved through lectures, meetings, scientific works, social gatherings, the publication of a newsletter, discussion forums, the establishment of a library, an Art Brut archive and an institute for Art Brut, the implementation of projects and the formation of working groups.
 
Since April 1, 2000, the association has also been the sponsor of the House of Artists. As an independent social welfare institution, the House has since been able to invite people from all over the EU.
