Hagenbachklamm Naturpark Eichenhain

Description

The Hagenbachklamm gorge is closed indefinitely due to the massive flood damage!

The Hagenbachklamm gorge is located in the 3,800-hectare Eichenhain Nature Park between Klosterneuburg and St. Andrä-Wördern in the heart of the Vienna Woods. From the entrance in St. Andrä vor dem Hagentale, you can walk from Unterkirchbach to Eichenhain and back to St. Andrä. The numerous bridges that you cross along the shallow waters of the Hagenbach stream in particular give the gorge its wild and romantic character. Old and tall oaks, as well as beeches and other deciduous trees, shade the path along the stream.

At the end of the gorge there is a large children's playground and the largest private bird of prey station in Europe with around 300 birds of 30 different species.
From the Australian wedge-tailed eagle to the desert buzzard. Around a third of the animals can be viewed.

To find out even more about the life of birds of prey, you can book group tours by telephone appointment at the bird of prey breeding station.
