Swimming area of Kritzendorf

Description

The Strombad Kritzendorf, once one of the first open-air baths in Austria, experienced its heyday in the interwar period. At weekends, up to 12,000 visitors from all social classes flocked to the inviting banks of the Danube. Although the facility is no longer operated as an open-air pool, the sunbathing lawn on the banks of the Danube remains freely accessible and is appreciated by numerous guests.
