Icelandic horse stud farm of Babenberg

Description

"No other breed of horse is as intelligent as these Icelanders.
The Icelandic horse can go through snow and Sturm, over bad paths, rock and ice.
It is brave, obedient and reliable.
It is sure-footed and never breaks."
Jules Verne

The Babenberg Icelandic horse stud is very keen to introduce young and old horse enthusiasts to riding. To achieve this, a well-trained team of school horses and riding instructors is available for lessons. The herd of four-legged trainers currently comprises 14 Icelandic horses and two ponies.

Lessons take place every day except Tuesday - we ask all interested parties to arrange riding lessons at the stable office or by calling 0676/617 49 92.

As handling the horses is part of the training, riding students are asked to arrive at the stables half an hour before the lesson starts. During this time, they will learn how to groom and saddle their horse independently. They handle the horses at their own risk. Helmets are compulsory for riding lessons and guided rides.
blocks of ten are valid for six months.
